 Recently, our laboratory has been carrying out research on bioinformatics which is getting attention as a new research field with the recent development of life sciences. We have been developing various algorithms for analyzing proteomic data based on mass spectrometry on a worldwide basis and are conducting research to build a software environment that integrates genomic data and proteomic data.

BIOINFORMATICS

  • Proteomics

    Proteomics is a field that identifies functions and interrelationships among these proteins, focusing on protein expression, post-expression modification, regulation and function, or interaction with other proteins.

  • Proteogenomics

    Proteogenomics is a field of integrated research in proteomics and genomics, where biomolecular insights are gained through multiple omics data. Mainly refers to the field used to enhance the gene annotation of data obtained by mass spectrometry.

  • Machine/Deep Learning

    In the field of artificial intelligence, the data from mass spectrometry are mainly analyzed in finding clues about the expression, function and regulation of protein expression and expression.

  • Large-scale omics data analysis

    In the system biology view, it is impossible to make accurate prediction of life phenomena with only one omics information. it is a field that uses the various omics information to give a more detailed insight into life phenomena
